Check For checked check box in another form

I'm wondering if there is anyway to check if another check box is checked when it is inside another form.

This is in visual studio.

I have a settings form and a controls form and i wanted a button to become active when the check box in the settings form is checked.

is their anyway to do this without temporary files and just using classes.
