Checkboxes in Yii2 gridview lose check state when table page is changed

I made a gridview in yii2 and adjusted pagination and pageSize to 7. The problem is whenever I check the checkboxes in first page, the checked checkboxes gets lost when I click on the second page of the table and back to the first page.
