Clicking a href activates checkbox

I'm trying to do the following, when click a linked title, the checkbox besides it ticks.

<a href="#" id="tickBox" >Link</a>

<input type="checkbox" value="2" id="checkboxFourInput2" name="" />
<label for="checkboxFourInput2"></label>

I can't work out or find any links to advise...

Can anyone help please?
