Edge browser is not showing checkbox tick icon

On chrome, checkbox ticks are showing

But on Edge 14, ticks are not showing although first checkbox is checked.

Css properties like border-color are not valid on Edge. Also :after pseudo class is not working.

This is all what I have found and IMO here is the problem with css but don't know how to fix this. Any help is most appreciated.
