Woocommerce Calculate Shipping Mandatory

On the cart page page I would like the Calculate Shipping to be mandatory. I make use of Flat Rate shipping. Customers sometimes miss the link to calculate shipping, then proceed to checkout without adding the shipping cost.

Then just above the Calculate Shipping link it says "There are no shipping methods available. Please check your address or contact us if you need any help." - I would like to remove that or change it to something else.

Then when you go to the checkout page I made the Recipient Details show by default, but I want to remove the check box to the left of the heading. It should always show. Any halp with this would be greatly appreciated.
