Excel 2010 Checkboxes

I have a spreadsheet that will display options depending on a predetermined question. There may be as few as 1 option up to 25. I want the user to select only 2 of these options via a checkbox. My question is can I have a checkbox only show up if data is displayed in a particular cell.

For Example:

X John Smith

X Sally Jones

X Fred Kelly

X George Jones

[no box available since no data]

[no box available since no data]

X Mary Lamb

Is it possible to not show a checkbox if a cell is empty?
