Use checkbox to filter data in firebase

I am using js to get my data from firebase and present it with html. My question is that I can make a filter with checkbox list to search and get the data from firebase. However, it works when I am using a search box. Does anyone could help on the checkbox? I think I am not using the right way to get the checkbox value... js code, the searchbox did work but the checkbox didn't...
