setting up a checkbutton next to items in a listbox in tkinter

Im trying to add a check-button next to each item in a tkinter Listbox. Is there a way of achieving this?

I understand that a listbox() only takes in text so i figured id have to display the check-button outside the listbox itself.

I need a check-button displayed alongside each item that gets inserted into the listbox
