Checkbox Filter Working but checkbox not staying ticked (wordpress)

I am in need of urgent assistance, i currently have a wordpress site that is using checkboxes to filter products, however some checkboxes are filtering the products but the checkbox does not stay ticked, because the checkbox is not ticked, the url keeps looping when selecting the option again. Please help
