In a form in WordPress page, how to add an ability to ensure 2 out of 8 checkboxes should be selected before the form can be submitted?

I need to create 8 checkboxes for the user to necessarily select only 2 of them. If the user selects only one or more than 2, it shouldn’t let him do that. Please help understand how t0 do it using jQuery/JavaScript?
