Access form checkbox not working even after copying another working checkbox

I have an access form that is part of a project management tool I am creating. We have dates, then a checkbox in the database for if this part of the project is complete. All of these work except the final checkbox for if the project is complete. In the database, it is a checkbox but on the form the checkbox doesn't work.

When I click on the field and bring it to the form, it shows up as a text box with 'N' or 'Y' there (as the other working check boxes do too). I can not change this to a checkbox, and if I create an unbound checkbox and change the control source, I notice all of the working ones are listed at the bottom of the control source options but the project complete box is with the other fields. I select project complete and it just keeps it as a squared checkbox.
