I have a table in which I define the possible combinations of some contracts by selecting values from drop-down lists. I have checkboxes for each row. The checkboxes are linked to the cells underneath. I locked all cells except a range which will be edited by others. What I want to accomplish is this: while the file is password protected (which applies to all cells but the unlocked ones) - whenever I check a checkbox the unlocked range from the same row changes to a locked range. I hope I got myself clear with the explanation. I attached a pictureenter image description here.
In the picture example all cells are locked except range F9 to R109. The file is password protected. When I check a checkbox the corresponding unlocked cells for each row should turn to locked/protected cells. Conversely, when I uncheck it, the cells should return to unprotected state. The reason is to lock the row of unlocked cells to avoid accidental change.
Thank you for your time.
