Filter Listview with Checkbox

I have a listview with each view contains a text view that shows name and a checkbox. How can I filter the listview based on checked items and unchecked items? I know I can use getfilter().filter(""); to search and filter based on character but how can I do this with the state of the checkbox.Thanks in advance.
