I want to make a list from the items that are checked in mat checkbox

I have a list as items:[Bille,Joe,Sam,Finn] and one list as friends:[] I have converted items into mat checkbox in html by

Now If i select lets say Bille And Joe from html page

I want to populate the friends list by its value

friens=[Billie,Joe]
