I can't find form with checkbox validation

(First of all my english is not great.)

I would like to make a form with text fields and checkboxes. The html part of it I understand. But when the php validation comes I can't understand it. So I'm searching for some tutorials but most of the time they are old or doesn't work right.

Please can someone link me to a good working tutorial?
