How to make a google add to playlist style button with jQuery

I'm having trouble finding something that will bring me in the right direction.

When you are using YouTube you can add a video to a playlist, when you click that button it'll open a small menu of checkboxes and you can easily add more.

I want to create something similar but every search I do brings up a ton of jquery scripts for viewing playlists. I'm not entirely sure what this type of menu would be called.
