Some of the macros I designed for Excel checkboxes only work after the worksheet has been open for a few minutes

I designed a questionnaire for medical purposes in an Excel worksheet. Some of the macros that tick all checkboxes in a column of a given category only work properly after the worksheet has been opened for a few minutes. If I execute these macros right after opening the worksheet some checkboxes are not ticked. Any ideas? Thank you.
