Is their a way to replace checkbox with drop down without effecting the functionality of checkbox

Example: on checked to checkbox their is some calculation happened now I want to keep calculation as it is and just need to replace checkbox with drop down containing yes / no value. where as no for unchecked and yes for checked. The only challenged is the checkbox calculation need to work same with drop down list.
