Need to have tri-state checkbox on the Kendo grid using jquery/javascript

I want to have the tri-state checkbox on the kendo grid on load. User can then override that state either to checked or unchecked. I tried using the document.ready & using template or using editor. However, the problem is it works only when the component is rendered. I need to have an handle when everything on the grid is rendered & then I can get hold of check boxes & change them to indeterminate on conditional basis.
