How can I use checkboxes in listview?

I want to make a To-do list app and I want that whatever I add in the list show in the form of checkbox and whenever I change the state of that checkbox it remain same when I reopen the app.Any idea for how to make the permanent saving of the states of checkboxes in the listview??
